Super-8-Projection, 4 min, Loop, spoken text(audiotape)
The Super-8 format film >Father< consists of fixed camera shots from three
different spots in a landscape along the Schlei. The only visible movement in
the images comes from the wind in the trees and grass. All that can be heard
is the whirring of the super-8 projector and the voice-over of the author. The
story told loads the empty spaces with meaning. They become planes that are
projected onto. The viewer feels that something was there that is no longer
visible. The film rotates around an empty center, around traces of a memory,
around the presence of a disappeared person.
